Amanda Hughbanks

When I saw the ad on tv for this contest, I knew I had to nominate my fiance Amanda. She's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen and I can't wait to marry her, but she has such low self esteem because of her teeth that she's told me she doesn't want to have our wedding until her smile looked better. I know that we are both young and will probably have to take years to save up to get her teeth fixed, and I don't want to have to wait that long for her to be my wife. When I look at her I don't see the messed up smile she does, but I know how badly it bothers her every day. She's in constant pain, both physically and mentally. She rarely ever smiles. Getting this picture was really hard for me because she doesn't like to have her photo taken while showing teeth. Please help a young couple out, I want her to be happy and smiling on our wedding day! -Jason Mutter

He's a really nice guy but he really doesn't smile or laugh because of his teeth. All he's ever wanted was a great smile he's not shy but because of his smile he's not the outgoing person. He wants a smile to be proud of. As you can see not proud of it what so ever. If chosen he would feel like the most Blessed man. Thank you for your consideration.

Guy Scoggin

I cannot think of anyone more deserving of a smile makeover than my husband, Guy
Scoggin. Guy has sacrificed the care of his own "smile" over the past
twenty-one years that we have been married. Through giving his family priority
over himself, he has financed needed braces for all four of our children and
made sure that they and myself always had the opportunity to have regular dental
check-ups and care. This has meant "doing without" such care for himself.
Never once has he complained about it. Even though he hasn't had the attention
to his smile that he has given his own family, he hasn't let it prevent him from
"smiling" anyway. Please give him this opportunity to have the care he has so
lovingly given to his family!

Tisha Stout

Let me start by saying that my wife is beautiful, but I know how self-conscious
she is about her smile. Unfortunately, her problems are more than just cosmetic;
she is missing a number of teeth (they never grew in), and still has several
baby teeth in the front. When she was growing up, her family could not afford to
fix this or even get braces for her. We have even looked into it ourselves but
we just can't afford it. We're both full-time students, and she is actually a
pre-med major. She feels so self-conscious about her teeth that she believes
people will look down on her when she starts applying to medical schools next
year. It's sad for me to think that she's afraid she can't reach her dreams
because she's embarrassed of her smile. Thank you for considering her.

Kristie E.Mann

I am nominating my mom, Kristie Mann she is already a patient of Dr. Comer's.
My mom has had trouble with her teeth as long as I can remember, stories from
them having to pull her baby teeth because she couldn't lose them on her own.
Some of her baby teeth had even come in decayed and had to be filled when she
was very young. She has stains on her teeth from a medicine that had to take as
a a child, after suffering long bouts of respiratory problems the year
followning the death of my grandfather, my mom was 3 1/2 years old . After
mother having a bad experience with a dentist, she has waited till she had no
option but to have something done to go to a dentist. She is missing several
teeth due to decay or damage beyond repair. Since finding Dr. Comer she has
been much more open to getting and planning the work that needs to be done. My
mom has spent my entire life putting someone else's needs and wants before her
own, mostly mine. I am nominating the special lady in my life who
puts me first because I would love to see her smile a smile that it is as
beautiful as she is on the inside.

I was going to enter your contest because I am tired of being the one behind the
camera, but from the looks of your site there may be more in need than me. I have
lost over half of my teeth over the years from some childhood events and I want
to be able to smile again without the fear of someone making fun of me. I have
partials but they are very painful and makes me not even want to give my husband
a Kiss. Anyway i was laid off my job back in April 2009 and thought a new smile
might help me get a new job and my confidence back.My husband does have
insurance from where he works, I will just try to save up the co-payment again
later. I wanted to say thank you for helping so many people.Just for them to
put their picture up on the site means you have already given them and me
hope.

Josh Nelson

My son Josh is a great young man and has all but given up the idea that his
teeth will ever be as straight as his sisters or mine. My son has had epilepsy
for the past 5.5 years and is always afraid that a tooth that is cracked might
just go ahead and break off during a seizure. He doesn't complain he just
occassionally asks if this year might be the year that my insurance will pick it
up. He will graduate from Highschool in June and I would love to see it happen
for a graduation present for him. I am a single mom and cant afford to get his
teeth fixed. My ex-husband carries the dental insurance on my children but
refuses to give me the insurance information. So I took my son to get x-rays 2
years ago thinking I would try to just pay for it myself. When I talked with
this orthodontist he said they would have to call his dad first to get approval
and that Josh would need to have his wisdom teeth out too. I was going still try
to do something so I took out coverage on my son with our insurance
at work to find out they will not cover braces for any reason and no oral
surgeries either. Since this past May my pay was cut in half so there is no way
I can even pay half of his braces if I tried. If he does get his teeth taken
care of his pediatrician said it might also help with his snoring. If you've
ever met my son you'd see he would be so thankful and would be a great
advertisement for your office. He will be moving to Amarillo in the fall to go
to WT. I pray you choose him it would make me so very thankful. Yours truly
Michelle a very proud mom.

Martha Jo Roberts

Mrs. Roberts has been a great influence on the students of our school. A year
ago she went through a horrible ordeal, Mrs. Roberts was diagnosed with throat
cancer. Her journey over the last year has been both trying and inspiring. As a
whole we look up to Mrs. Roberts for her bravery and servitude in her time of
need. She never lost hope, never gave up, and most importantly always had a
smile on her face. Through this horrible cancer she lost her teeth due to the
radiation and chemotheraphy treatments, along with that came a slur in her
speech with strained words. This was a huge hinderance since she is a reading
teacher. We would love to see the beautiful smile light up the halls once again.
Mrs. Roberts deserves this. Not a soul in our school would disagree. We would
really appreciate it if you could give our teacher one more reason to smile.

my family who were born here my daddy had to earn the right to be a Citzen and
he is very proud of it. He grew up in Thailand and was very sick as a baby and
the medicine they gave him ruined his teeth. Anyone that knows my Daddy knows he
is always smiling and I wish we could afford to help him fix his teeth. I
believe it would make a big difference in his life.

There are times when you just have to do something for yourself...I am a single
mother of 6 and my life has been a nightmare to say the least and my teeth have
been part of it when I was about 6 or 7 when my front teeth fell out they came
back in half way and then the other half came in years later so I had a lop
sided teeth smile and funny holes in my teeth the dentist told my parents it was
due to stress and my step dads response was what kind of stress could a 6 year
old have well it was him... so now years later when I look in the mirror and
smile i still feel the pain of a horrible experience and I have done a lot of
nice things for people I have taken people into my home and offered them a place
to stay and I have helped people and family and friends, I honestly believe that
we reap what we sow and I believe in Karma what comes around goes around, maybe
this is my time for karma to come around for me... thank you so much Jenny

Jimmy McIntire

Jimmy and I have dedicated our lives to taking care of fosterkids. About 8 years
ago he had a heart attack they gave him a year to live back then. He has had to
be put on life saving medications, due to the medication along with him also
being a diabetic it has taken a tole on his teeth. He needs dental work done in
the worst way. Because of us taking care of fosterkids we were unble to obtain
dental insurance, and we could not afford to get his teeth fixed. Along with the
health issues he is in a great deal of pain every day with his teeth. I just
think if he was able to get his teeth fixed and eliminate some of his pain that
he lives with would be such a great gift for him.

Amy Moore

Amy is the most beautiful woman on the planet to me. She stays at home with the
kids does everything imaginable o make sure hat this family has everything in
the world to make it happy and thats where getting a smile makover can make her
the happiest woman on the planet. For years Amy has sacrificed everything for
her family and for payment she asks for nothing. She is always very self
concious of her teeth and almost always refuses to show off her teeth. If only
she could have the self confidence to show them off I know for a fact that the
world would be a happier place because she has he most infectious personalityand
it definately would be a blessing to her and everybody she meets to see what a
wonderful and beatiful person that she is. I work two jobs to make ends meet and
every penny goes to the kids and bills always making it impossible to get
anything for herself and I just wish that she could get something that she
deserves very much.

When I smile I do not show my teeth but even without showing my teeth you can

I am nominating my wife for the Ultimate Smile Makeover. She has had problems
with her teeth since she was a little girl. She has a tooth in the front that
was capped and doesn't match the rest of her teeth and she hates it. I love when
she smiles cause she makes me happy, but she hates her smile, so I don't get to
see it to often. She is a great mother and wife. She is always thinking of us
before herself. She works in an office so she is in constant contact with the
public. She says it is hard for her to do her job because she has to talk to
people and when greeting people as they come in she needs to smile but it is
hard for her to show her teeth. I think she deserves this makeover because she
never wants anything for herself, its always about me and the kids and I know
this would make her happy.Thanks

I have been living with type 1 diabetes for 24 years as the years have gone by,
some of my teeth have moved, fallen out or have been removed. It is hard for me
to eat at times. I do have insurance, but even with insurance it is still very
expensive and is something I can not afford. My job consists of working and
communicating with others. I do not like to smile because I am aware that my
teeth is the first thing everyone notices. A smile is a part of my job in
welcoming everyone as they walk in the door yet very hard to do for me. I often
ask my husband and children if they can see my teeth when I speak. I make sure
not show them when I talk or smile. I think I deserve the ultimate smile
makeover as much as everyone else. I hope I get chosen
