Reported by: Ashley Alderman Thursday, Sep 6, 2007 @05:55pm CDT AMARILLO -- Chances are you've gotten a few e-mails this week about the restaurant Zoo-Kini's.
Customers at one local restaurant got more than they paid for, or paid for more than they got. Our I-team investigation shows over the last several months, police noticed a pattern in people who've had their identities stolen. They had all used their credit cards at Zoo-Kini's on Soncy. The case is still under investigation but police have said that no one at the restaurant is responsible for the thefts. "Anywhere there's a computer system, whether it's business or personal, it can be hacked into by somebody smart enough and there are a lot of smart people out there," says Sergeant Randy TenBrink of the Amarillo Police Department. You should always double check all of your transactions and contact your credit card company if you see anything suspicious. |
