Today McClanahan was sentenced to 2 years and 10 months.
In August he pleaded guilty to lying on a bank loan application, and claiming he won the Congressional Medal of Honor.
As part of the plea agreement, count two was dropped.
It included false claims about three Silver Stars, three Purple Hearts, and the Legion of Merit.
McClanahan got 5 years probation on top of his prison sentence.
He was taken into custody by a United States Marshall at the Federal Courthouse this morning.
