"My Dad is so many things to me. He is by far the best dad I could have ever asked GOD for. Dad is right beside me in whatever I do,and if I fall-he dusts my knees off and gives me a push forward to try again. If I get some hairbrained idea and dad knows will probably never work, he still encourages me to attempt it and see what I can do. My dad is so strong and loving even when I have done something that has hurt his feelings or to aggravate him, Dad just smiles, gives a hug and kiss and says that everything is alright. Little things like disagreements between us happen quietly, with a word here or a comment. But if he knows that he upset me, I get flowers or a card or a little something saying he is sorry. Not many men know that word anymore. Dad is also a musician by ear. He can play almost any song he hears.Dad entertains the entire family for hours sometimes playing his guitar, taking request and singing the same songs over and over for the babies. He never turns down a request to make me smile with a song. When my grandmother died several years ago he was right there to hold all of us together. A couple of years later I found her drivers license and started to cry, he laid me on his chest, held me tight and sang to me until I was alright again. Right now he is going through some hard times personally himself, but no matter what he feels like, he is still right there to do anything he can to put a smile on my face. When I cook dinner for him, he eats it no matter if he likes the taste or not. He NEVER leaves the meal without saying how wonderful the meal was and Thank you. For all that he has given me, my family, friends and even strangers--I would just like to give something back to him. Even though no matter what I do for my dad it will never even breach the edge of what he has done and continues to do for me each day. I love you Dad more than words will ever be able to describe."
