Texas soldier dies in Afghanistan

(Washington, D.C.) A soldier from the Fort Worth area has died in a rollover crash while serving in Afghanistan.
Military officials today said 20-year-old Army Private First Class
Peter K. Cross of Saginaw died June 26 at Combat Outpost Carwile of injuries sustained in the vehicle incident.
The Tarrant County native was assigned to the Second Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, Third Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, New York. Officials said they continue investigating the crash.
