Prep Time: 8 mins Total Time: 13 mins Number of Servings: 4 Bring the veggies to the grill with this simple recipe! Weave skewers with bacon and asparagus for a tasteful side or appetizer. Ingredients 20 frozen Asparagus spears, thawed 8 slices Thick Sliced Bacon (#440), thawed 8, 8 inch bamboo skewers, soaked in water 30 minutes or overnight Steps 1. Place 5 asparagus spears side by side on a work surface. At the point that is 1/3 of the way down from the top of the spears, weave 1 slice of bacon over and under all 5 spears. 2. Secure with a bamboo skewer by running it through the bacon and all 5 spears. 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 at the point that is 1/3 of the way up from the bottom of the spears. 4. Grill asparagus and bacon directly over medium heat 6 minutes or until bacon is cooked, turning several times throughout grilling. Be careful not to burn bamboo skewer handles during grilling.
