Tuesday, Oct 20, 2009 @05:15pm CDT AMARILLO -- This week, we tested Uncle Norman's 1-Step Pet Bath Sponge to see if it really gets your furry friends clean in one easy step.
Laura Teichmann at Willow Creek Kennels tested it on our beloved station dog KAMRy. The sponge can be used on both cats and dogs. As with any bath, the first step is wetting down your pet. Next comes the sponge. "And then just wash her with it. It's supposed to make the suds and everything, and it's supposed to do all the work for us. And then we're supposed to rinse her, and she'll be good and clean, so we'll see how it works," Teichmann said. Teichmann said the product cleaned well on KAMRy's legs and paws, but it didn't so that well in the areas where she has a rougher coat. So for short-coated dogs and cats, the sponge might be a good bet. But... "As far as a really dirty dog or something that was really thickly coated, I wouldn't recommend it," she said. We gave Uncle Norman's 1-Step Pet Bath Sponge 2 out of 4 stars. You can get it for around $10. |
