Reported by: Ashley Pontius Monday, Nov 2, 2009 @07:51pm CST NEW MEXICO---New Mexico police arrest a man they say's responsible for shooting a police officer in Arkansas. 26-year-old Tristan James Honey turned himself into DPS officers in San Jon Sunday night. He told them his truck broke down on I-40, and that he'd shot an officer in Fort Smith. DPS called and confirmed his story. Honey allegedly shot Cpl. Barney Parsons Sunday morning when Parsons tried to pull him over for speeding. Parsons was hit in the chest, leg and foot. Honey now faces an attempted capital murder charge.
