Man Pleads Guilty to Hurting a Child

POTTER COUNTY - He was accused of physically assaulting a 14-month-old, leading to the little boy's death.
Now, 34-year-old Michael Wayne Garrard will spend 20 years in prison for his crime.
It happened in 2007 in Potter County.
Police think Garrard was home with his girlfriend's child at the time.
They say he either hit Evan Vaughn in the head with an object, or caused the boy to hit his head.
Evan died at the hospital.
Garrard pleaded guilty today.
