    Reported by: Jennifer Smith

    Tuesday, Nov 3, 2009 @03:48pm CST

PERRYTON - A Hardesty man died while in custody of the Perryton Police Department.
It all started around 9 a.m. Monday morning.
Police and EMS were called to Perryton National Bank where 46-year-old Wade Wilson was acting strangely in the parking lot.
According to police, he claimed he couldn't breathe.
After being treated, Wilson started acting out again and told police he had crystal meth on him and he has taken some earlier.
Police tell us they arrested him for possession and started to search his car.
That's when Wilson started to rock back and forth in the back of the police car.
Police opened the door and Wilson shot out.
Police then got Wilson down on the ground and told him to calm down or they would have to taser him.
He stopped fighting, but shortly after police say Wilson stopped breathing.
Officers started CPR and he was transfered to Ochiltree General Hospital.
DPS officials says Wilson died 30 minutes later.
        Wilson's autopsy is Tuesday.
So far no cause of death is known.
The Texas Rangers are now investigating since it was a death in police custody.
