The blast happened early Thursday, November 5, 2009 and could be felt for miles. Three people were injured. Franzesca Torres, a Bushland High School sophomore, is in a Lubbock hospital burn unit. Officials from the Potter County Fire and Rescue told KAMR NBC 4 news the investigation will take several months. The Torres home was destroyed in the blast.
