Amarillo-- Lance Armstrong's mother helped the Maverick Boys and Girls Club celebrate a major milestone.  Linda Armstrong Kelly was the guest speaker at their 75th Anniversary Luncheon today. Her son, Lance, is one of the most celebrated athletes in history, winning the Tour de France seven times.
    Mrs. Kelly talked about what it was like raising Lance as a single mother.  She dropped out of school and struggled to make ends meet while living in Dallas.  You can read more about her story in her book No Mountain High Enough-Raising Lance, Raising Me.
    The money raised from the luncheon will help the Maverick Boys and Girls Club of Amarillo reach out to low income families.
