Reported by: Rachel Cox Friday, Nov 20, 2009 @09:40pm CST RANDALL COUNTY --- 22-year-old Zachary Paul Harris is facing charges after he allegedly posed as a paramedic at various events around town. Officials say this isn't the first time he's impersonated an official. They say he had a vehicle similar to an ambulance and it was stocked with what looked like legitimate medical equipment. Harris had a warrant out in Randall County after the sheriff's office opened an investigation. Jail officials say at the end of October, he turned himself in and served no jail time after he paid his $1,500 bond. Witnesses say they saw Harris at Homer's Backyard Ball this year with his ambulance. Officials say he was going to local haunted houses and offering his medical assistance around Halloween. Authorities also say he had two teenage boys with him, who believed they were earning credit by volunteering with a paramedic. There are also allegations that on October 17th Harris responded to an accident and offered aid to a victim. Harris was on felony probation for a 2007 incident when he said he was a Texas Marshal. That charge was out of Potter County. Today the Potter County District Attorney's Office said Harris had violated his probation for some theft-related charges and they had filed a motion to try and get his probation revoked. They say they'll be amending that motion with this new allegation of the impersonation of a paramedic.
