AMARILLO - When it comes to holiday shopping, it's not just crazy customers you should look out for. It's drivers not paying attention and criminals breaking into your cars. Luckily, you're not the only one who is watching out. Amarillo Police are out in full force for "Operation Safe Shopper." This holiday patrol is directed to high traffic shopping areas. Officers will be more available for emergency calls. Police say you still need take precautions like parking in well lit areas, keeping your valuables out of site and being aware of your surroundings.
