Smoked Gouda with Applewood Smoked Bacon Mac and Cheese.
1 pound pasta of your choice
11/2 cups shredded smoked gouda
1/4 cup parmigiano
1/3 cup shredded mozzarella
2 cups Heavy cream
4 slices applewood smoked bacon diced
1/2 cup diced onion
1 tablespoon butter
Cook pasta and use right away or put in a ice bath for later.
In a large pot melt butter, add bacon and onions.. watch until bacon is cooked , stir periodically.
Once bacon is cooked, add heavy cream. Over medium heat bring Cream to slight simmer. Add Smoked Gouda, parmigiano and mozzarella cheese, stir until cheese is melt and sauce is smooth and creamy. Add pasta to cheese sauce and stir until pasta is fully coated with sauce.. Place Mac n cheese in family style casserole dish or individual dishes. Top with panko crumbs and place under broiler till golden brown.
Serve as a side dish or a main.
