Amarillo Orthodontist Enters Guilty Plea in Medicad Fraud Case

AMARILLO -- An orthodontist has entered a guilty plea for charges he defrauded the Federal Government.
Michael Goodwin will be sentenced later this month on one count of Medicad Fraud.
He faces up to ten years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
Goodwin admitted to billing the government for 1-million dollars in services he never provided.
Goodwin will be sentenced February 7, 2013.

Goodwin's wife Patricia and his former employee, Annette Hastings, were also indicted.
Now, their charges have been dropped.
