CLOVIS -- Clovis Officer Stephen Gallegos had his case dismissed because of Grand Jury irregularities.
9th Judicial District Attorney Matt Chandler asked for a special prosecutor be called in to look at the case. That District Attorney from Las Cruces decided that Gallegos should only face two misdemeanors, and not any felonies.
Gallegos plead guilty to the two misdemeanors traffic citations.
Gallegos Attorney says that the family of the woman has got more than a million dollars in settlement from the city.
Gallegos could face up to 90 days in jail. His sentencing is scheduled for February 7.
