CLOVIS -- Anthony R. Romo, 22, and brother Andres Romo Granado, 18, were arrested Tuesday night for Felony Shooting at a Dwelling, Resisting, Evading or Obstructing a Police Officer and Assault on a Police Officer.
Clovis Police Officers were sent the 1200 Block of North Lea Street at 6:35 p.m. on shots fired.
Officers made contact with a resident who said that she had been told by a neighbor that Romo and Granado, had pulled up in a green two door Honda with aftermarket rims and contacted him outside her house. The neighbor stated that Romo and Granado were looking for a man at the residents house. When the neighbor told Romo and Granado that the man they were asking about was not there, Romo and Granado pulled out guns and started firing into the air and drove off.

At 7:42 pm on the same date, the resident in the 1200 Block of North Lea Street contacted the Clovis Police Department and stated that her Grandmothers house in the 1200 Block of North Lea had been shot at, with bullets coming through the front door and dining room window while occupied by her, two other adults and her two minor children. The resident stated that they all had to crawl toward the back of the house to avoid the incoming bullets. Nobody was struck by any of the bullets. The resident stated that when she had looked out before the shooting started she saw a green Honda two door parked by the mailbox and two men get out of the vehicle and start shooting towards the house when she ducked back into the house.

A Clovis Police Officer along with a New Mexico Department of Corrections Probation Officer located the suspects vehicle, the two door Honda, in the 2900 Block of Horn Avenue in Clovis. Romo and Granado were taken into custody after resisting and assaulting officers in the front yard of the residence on Horn. Search warrants were obtained for the home and the suspect vehicle and evidence was located in both locations connecting the two brothers to the shooting on North Lea Street.
