UPDATE 12:30 P.M. -- Xcel has 1,037 customers currently without power in Texas and around
400 out in New Mexico.
In Texas, 1,008 are out in Amarillo, but they are about to
restore about 200 in the Estacado area.
In New Mexico, most of the outages are
in Clovis.
Xcel has had approximately 4,000 impacted by this storm since 8 p.m.
Sunday.
UPDATE 11:43 A.M. -- About 1,448 customers served by the Conway substation are out, which affectS Panhandle.
UPDATE 11:10 A.M. -- At about 10:30 a.m. Xcel had 1,600 customers in Clovis
without power, and about 800 in Amarillo.
Xcel is aware of about 50 customers in Vega
without power.
A truck struck a pole in Vega last night and we are unable to get
a crew to the location at this time. Xcel says that they have plenty of available personnel, but
many have become stuck around the area and others are moving slowly because of
the visibility.
CLOVIS -- Xcel is reporting that 425 customers in Clovis are currently without power. Six poles in Clovis caused the outage.
There is a small
amount out of people in Vega without power. A car took out a pole last night, and about 20 out in
Amarillo.
Restoration times are slow because our crews are hampered by low
visibility.
UPDATE 4:30 P.M.: Power has come back on to many in Clovis. About 25 customers still are without power. Xcel expects to have them back on by 6 p.m. They're also repairing several broken poles in Curry County.
