UPDATE: Canyon Police Blocking Traffic on Northbound US 87 at Buffalo Hill

UPDATE  11:17 A.M. -- US 87 northbound from Hunsley Road is blocked off. No traffic is being allowed NB toward Amarillo from Hunsley Road.

Hereford PD has discouraged EB traffic on US 60. Tulia PD is looking into blocking I-27 at the Rip Griffin Truck Stop.

CANYON -- Canyon Police are reporting that Buffalo Hill at Kimbrough Stadium is impassable.

Officers are blocking roads to prevent traffic from going NB on US 87 toward Buffalo Hill. 

Police are saying "DO NOT, repeat DO NOT attempt to travel today. Emergency responders as well as snow plows are getting stuck.   White out conditions exists once you get outside the city.   High drifts have are seen across the roads. "
