LSC Record Crowd Sees No. 10 Buffs Slam Greyhounds

CANYON, TX - Buffs roll up 599 yards of total offense and retain the Wagon Wheel Trophy In front of a school and Lone Star Conference record 23,276 crowd.
Sophomore running back Keithon Flemming piled up 144 yards and three touchdowns as the No. 10 West Texas A&M football blasted border rival Eastern New Mexico, 62-31, to claim the Wagon Wheel traveling trophy for a third straight season.
Although it was the Greyhounds who entered the contest with the nations top rushing attack, it was the Buffs who made an impression with the ground game as three Buffalo running backs - Flemming, Kelvin Thompson and Wayne McKnight - combined for four touchdowns and a 7.2 yards per carry average.
Junior quarter back Keith Null was impressive, as well, connected on 24-of-29 pass attempts for 339 yards and three touchdowns.
B.J. Vickers hauled in sevens catches for 105 yards, while A.J. Ruffins caught three passes for 73 yards and a touchdown. Jared Brock was solid on defense again this week, collecting eight tackles including two for loss, while Kyle Seals added seven tackles of his own.
The Buffs' face Abilene Christian next week in Abilene, with kick off scheduled for 2 p.m.
