AMARILLO, TEXAS The Amarillo Dusters announced today the resignation of Warren McCarty. McCarty has served the Dusters in several capacities over the last few years including general manager, sales representative, and assisting with football operations.

"Warren has been an instrumental part of the organization for the past 5 years," said Joe Morgado, vice president of the Amarillo Dusters. "He will be missed."

In 2004, Warren was a member of the Dusters staff that won the IFL Championship with former Dusters head coach, Don Carthel. In 2005, he was promoted to general manager, and has served the team in that capacity until recently.

"These last five years have been a wonderful learning experience. It's great that Amarillo has the privilege of having an arena football franchise," McCarty said.

McCarty said that he plans to focus his energy and efforts on other business ventures.

"It was tough for all of us, but in the end we feel that it was the right decision," Morgado said. "We wish Warren the best of luck in his future endeavors."

"I'll miss my Dusters family," McCarty said.

The Dusters will begin their season with the home opener on April 5th, 2008. Tickets are on sale now. Call the box office at (806) 350-7277 or visit www.dustersfootball.com for more information.
