Dusters Prepare For Central Valley

AMARILLO, TEXAS The Amarillo Dusters return home this weekend for the 2008 season home opener this Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at the Amarillo Civic Center. The Dusters will take on the Central Valley Coyotes. "Were excited to be home," said vice president, Joe Morgado. "Lets start the season off proud, with a great home crowd." The first 2,500 fans to come to the game will receive a 2008 schedule magnet from Amarillo National Bank. Fans will have the opportunity to compete for prizes with events like the Wienerschnitzel hot dog eating contest. There will also be giveaways throughout the evening sponsored Hollywood Tans, Chick-Fil-A, and other Dusters sponsors. Fans will see many new faces running out of the home tunnel. Fans will also see a familiar side to the new Dusters squad. The team will be sporting black jerseys and pants, returning to the look of the championship team from the 2004 season. This Saturday, the game theme is "Back in Black," and fans are encouraged to join in the Dusters spirit by sporting black shirts. "We want to tap into some of that former Dusters magic and bring it into 2008," Morgado said. "When Central Valley comes out of the tunnel, we want them to know that they have come to Dusters country."
