Amarillo -- Court documents show James Joseph Egan faces federal charges of interfering with flight crew members. According to the FBI, Egan threatened to physically assault passengers and crew members of Southwest Flight 1917 on Monday. He also claimed to have a gun in his carry-on baggage. Egan was on his way from Pittsburgh to San Diego, after attending his mother's funeral. Airport police say he consumed alcohol before and during the flight.
