KERN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA -- A California man is accused of killing cats and eating them.
Kern County resident Jason Wilmert is facing a slew of animal cruelty charges, including using a pet as food.
Neighbors have reported seeing Wilmert skinning a live cat and then cooking strange smelling meat in his backyard.
If convicted, he could get six months in jail.
