CACTUS -- Damage assessment teams are making their rounds in Cactus while people there are starting over.
In the meantime their home base is a Red Cross shelter in Dumas.
More than two hundred sixty people slept there last night.
Support services are helping people with the basics.
Despite their major losses many people say theyre just happy to be alive.
"Right now this is home right here. We sleep right here I only sleep for like an hour or two because I cant sleep, theres noise all over the place," says Lorenzo Larrea.
A curfew remains in effect.
The Red Cross is asking for donations.
