WASHINGTON D.C. -- Mitt Romney visits a charter school in Philadelphia today, his solution to what he calls a "National Education Emergency." "Imagine if your enterprise had a 25% to 50% failure rate in meeting its primary goal. You would consider that a crisis . . . As President, I will give the parents of every low-income and special needs student the chance to choose where their child goes to school," said Mitt Romney, (R) Presidential Candidate.

But jobs remain the key issue. Romney's promising 6% unemployment by the end of his first term, if elected.

President Obama focuses on jobs in Iowa today. He says making businesses profitable isn't the only goal: "That's important, that's part of our free market, but not if it's purchased at the cost of massive layoffs," declared The President.

Computer giant Hewlett Packard just announced its laying off 27,000 workers. "The President needs the economy to bounce back pretty strongly between now and November sixth and there are a lot of signs that that's sort of not happening," said Charlie Cook, author of "The Cook Political Report."

The President, needing a boost; American workers needing a boost, and Mitt Romney needing a boost,in the polls in his quest to get the job done.
