AMARILLO- Theres a huge local effort to help the people hit by the Kansas tornado. Its being put together by Cornerstone Outreach. Cornerstone wants it to be a community wide effort. Non-perishable foods, ready to eat things with pop top lids and bottled water are just some of the things you can bring. Anyone can drop the stuff at Cornerstone. They will pack it all in a truck. The plan is for the truck to leave this Friday. Everything will go to Greensburg, Kansas. If you dont want to bring goods, cash goes a long way. Theyre extending their hours to take the goods. Theyll stay open until 10 p.m. They open at 8 a.m. Cornerstone is at 1111 North Buchanan. They tell us you can also volunteer your time by helping sort the goods that come in. For more information call (806) 381-2131.
