Early Morning Shooting Leaves One Dead

AMARILLO - Police responded to shots fired just before 5:30 a.m. Sunday at 600 Amarillo Boulevard.
Witnesses reported a large crowd in the parking lot and one man with gunshot wounds. Upon arrival, police did find a male with gunshot wounds in the parking lot. He was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Police later discovered two other people with gunshot wounds had been transported to the hospital in a private vehicle. One was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other was treated for non life-threatening injuries.
According to Lt. Erick Bohannon with Special Crimes, the police are still searching for suspects.
