Early Morning wreck Involves a Car Hitting a Horse

AMARILLO -- Early this morning, Amarillo Police were sent to the 100 block of NW 24th on a car hitting a horse.
The driver was going east bound on the 100 block of NW 24th when a horse ran into the roadway.
The horse had been kept in a field south of the accident.
The horse had freed itself from being tied up to a tree.
The owner was trying to catch the horse when it ran out onto the road.
The driver and two other passengers were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Dept.
