No Graduation Ceremony

Amarillo -- One-hundred and fifty-three AISD students wont get a chance to walk across the stage at graduation. Thats because they havent passed at least one portion of the TAKS test. 2005 was the first year seniors had to pass the test to graduate; that year only 33 didnt pass. This is the districts decision, which is why some parents and students are so angry about it. More than 40,000 high school seniors throughout the state didnt pass one or more sections of the TAKS.
