Fatal Motorcycle Accident Off Smelter

AMARILLO -- Around 8 p.m. last night, Michael Lee Davidson crashed his motorcycle and died.
Police say Davidson was driving northbound on Smelter when the cycle left the road. The cycle then traveled up an Xcel Energy pole 12ft before coming to a rest.
Davidson was found and sent to a local hospital.
Police are saying Speed is a factor in this crash.
Drugs are a possible factor in the crash as well.
The driver was not wearing a helmet.
