PORTALES, NM - The #6-ranked Lady Buffs moved to 9-0 in Lone Star Conference play after defeating Eastern New Mexico (6-24, 0-9 LSC) in three sets with scores of 25-14, 25=16, and 25-10. WT now moves 25-4 overall and remains at the top of the LSC, being the only undefeated team in the conference. Laura Prinsen (junior, rightside hitter, Spring, Texas) and Melissa Harper (junior, middle blocker, Peoria, Ariz.) led the team in kills, with Prinsen recording 14 kills in 24 attempts for a hitting percentage of .500 and Harper with 10 kills in 19 attempts for a hitting percentage of .526. Harper also contributed one solo block. Lauren Purdy (freshman, middle blocker, Arlington, Texas) served a strong match, tallying a career high three service aces. She also recorded two solo blocks and one block assist. The Lady Buffs are back in action on Thursday, Oct. 30, traveling to Ada, Okla. to take on East Central University at 7:00 p.m. The Lady Tigers are currently 10-19 overall and 3-6 in the LSC.
