Hometown Hero Killed in Afghanistan

AMARILLO -- A hometown hero is killed in Afghanistan.
Friends and family confirm the death of PFC Genaro Bedoy, 20.
Bedoy was killed Sunday in southern Afghanistan.
The Department of Defense is not releasing details on how he died.
PFC Bedoy is a 2010 graduate of River Road High School.
He had been in Afghanistan since last November.
He married his high school sweetheart before shipping out. The couple welcomed their daughter Sophia seven weeks ago.
