Dalhart Police Find Over 30 Pounds of Marijuana During Traffic Stop

DALHART -- On Sunday, Dalhart Police Department pulled over Soubinh Vongsavanthon during a routine traffic stop in the 900 block of S. Hwy 87.
Dalhart Police were given permission to search the vehicle and they found over 31 pounds of marijuana concealed in the trunk of the vehicle.
Vongsavanthon was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana more than 5lbs but less than 50lbs with intent to deliver, which is a 3rd degree Felony.
Vongsavanthon was transported to the Dallam/Hartley Counties Jail where he was booked and released to jail staff and is currently awaiting arraignment and bond.
The street value of the marijuana is five thousand dollars.
