AMARILLO -- The Amarillo City Commission approved a certificate of obligation to begin working on drainage improvement projects around the city.
The certificate is for $6.9 million.
City officials say passing that allows them to lock in more favorable rates.
They also say they'll be able to use some Tx DOT funding and the new drainage utility fee in your water bill will help cover the cost of the work.
