Teen Charged in Street Racing Death

AMARILLO -- A teenager police say was street racing, and caused a wreck is charged with manslaughter.
19-year-old Edwin Elias Ortiz is officially charged in the death of 77-year-old Marlene Hooker Scott.
Police say in early May, Ortiz's car hit a suburban on the 1600 block of I-40 west.
The suburban rolled down the embankment, and Hooker-Scott died at the hospital.
Police arrested Ortiz later that night.
