If you're one of those who stashed away a little vacation time to take between now and the holidays, you're not alone.  Turns out fall vacations are have become as popular as the ones in summer.  In an Orbitz survey of 750 Americans, 68-percent said they'd be hitting the roads for a getaway sometime between Labor Day and Thanksgiving.

Don't know where to go?  Well, our good friend Samarah from the Amarillo Travel Network has some advice.

Booking is already available for next fall, so book early and save!

New England and Canada cruises out of Boston and NYC are becoming more popular for fall foliage time. Cruising from Gulf Ports is easy and convenient

The kids are back in school which means fewer crowds at major destinations.  The temperatures are still mild, and because the hotels aren't as full, you see really great deals this time of year

Airlines won't lower prices much, so book now, or plan to drive.

Samarah's Top Destinations for Fall

1. Las Vegas

Vegas has many great events happening this fall
(Americas Got Talent, Halloween events, Concerts, Nation Finals Rodeo)

2. Caribbean Cruises

3.  Hawaii
