Ascension Academy's Response to Sandy Hooks School Shooting

AMARILLO -- Ascension Academy responded to the Sandy Hook shooting today.
Officials say the school is always locked to the public, and they use a strict sign in and out process for visitors.
They say they have an extensive emergency response program in place for situations like, evacuation, lock down, off campus evacuation, mass causality and a bomb threat; among others.
They say administrators are also combing through their crisis plan, and will review it again with faculty and staff after the first of the year.
