AMARILLO- Farmers have just started harvesting and theyre reaping the benefits of great weather.
Last year, many farmers didnt harvest anything.
The average was 15 bushels per acre.
This years average is 40 to 60 bushels per acre.
Moistures helped a lot and on top of that, prices for wheat are great right now.
Corn is also doing well.
The only problem is that whats good weather for wheat and corn is bad for cotton.
Farmers hope to see cotton improve before October.
