CAUGHT: Amarillo Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week 1/2/13

UPDATE -- Amarillo Police arrested 32-year-old Anton Theodore Peterson for the bank robbery at Amarillo National Bank at 3390 Soncy. He is charged with Aggravated Robbery.
Amarillo Crime Stoppers received a tip about Peterson on January 1. The tip led officers to believe that Peterson was in a room at the Amarillo Motel at 4051 Canyon Drive.
At about 7:00 p.m. on January 1, APD SWAT and Narcotics Unit officers helped detectives in locating Peterson at the motel. While officers were attempting to determine who was in the room, Peterson ran from the room and was taken into custody.
Officers then entered the room and took another occupant, Matthew Coleman, WM 34 into custody. He was later booked into the Randall Co. Jail on an outstanding theft warrant.
During that time, officers spoke to 31-year-old Valerie Isa Hearn outside the room of the motel. Hearn was booked into the Randall Co. Jail on a charge of harboring a fugitive.
This case remains under investigation.

Last Saturday, Amarillo National Bank at 3390 Soncy was robbed. The suspect may have been armed with a handgun.
