Man Charged With Sexual Assault Committed in 1995

AMARILLO -- A man is being held on a $50,000 bond for two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child under 14.
47-year-old John Marcus Vaughn was arrested Monday and booked into Potter County.
Vaughn had already been convicted of two counts of Indecency with a Child in 2001.
The new charges stem from an incident that allegedly happened in 1995.
The two victims said they came forward after learning that Vaughn was a registered sex offender.
