Two Men Arrested in Connection With Two Clovis Robberies

CLOVIS -- 23-year-old Daniel Murrel III and 20-year-old Terrill Smolar have been arrested in connection with two robberies that took place two weeks ago.
The first robbery happened at stone place. A man was getting into his vehicle when he was robbed at gunpoint. The victim was hit over the head and the suspect took off with cash from his wallet.
The other robbery involved another victim who was beaten in an alley. The suspects took off with his cell phone and wallet.
Both Murrel III and Smolar are booked in the Curry County Detention Center.
