Now that summers here, you may want to think about cleaning out your kids rooms. In Family First, were helping you do just that. Professional organizer Nancy Altschwager has some easy tips. She says you should first separate your childs things. For example, put all the dolls in one pile, all the shoes in another, etc. Then put each group of things in a separate plastic bin with a label. Altshwager says, "I recommend clear plastic for kids rooms. Theyre easier to use. Theyre inexpensive. They can be washed if they get dirty, which they frequently do. And also, theyre easy to label." Another tip ... use plastic hangers because theyre easier for your kids to handle. Also, make sure your kids buy into the plan beforehand. If they dont, youll just end up with another messy room.
