That's the recommendation of the AISD's Facilities Advisory Committee.
The committee was established in November. Their task was to look at facility needs for their future, including security.
The recommendations were presented to the school board Thursday night.
The committee says the top priorities for the district are, security, the expansion of the Eastridge elementary cafeteria and the construction of two sixth grade campuses for Bowie and Travis middle schools.
The co-chair of the committee, Dr. Aaron Pan, says the district has seen remarkable changes at Horace man after building the Allen 6th grade campus
Dr. Pan says Bowie and Travis middle schools both have more than 1,000 students which is causing overcrowding problems.
