High Speed Chase Ends in Sherman County

SHERMAN COUNTY -- Sherman County Sheriffs were called Wednesday morning at 3:15 about a chase in Texas County, Oklahoma that was heading towards Sherman County. 
The chase made it's way to Sherman County when the Sheriff and two deputies along with a Stratford officer went to look for Jose Soto-Gomez and set up spike strips just outside of the city.
The Soto-Gomez's truck hit the spike strips. The suspect then used his truck to ram the Sheriff's car. The suspect then spun out and drove off. The Sheriff then joined the pursuit.
Soto-Gomez's truck then was running on two rims. 
The Sheriff was able to spin the suspect's truck three times and the third time the truck high centered.
The suspect is charged with felony evading and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon of a Peace Officer. Soto-Gomez is currently in the Sherman County jail. The suspect could have pending charges in Oklahoma.
The Sheriff was treated for a shoulder injury and released.
