The Amarillo Opera presents 'She Never Lost a Passenger: The Story of Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad' at the Globe News Center for Performing Arts at 7:30 pm

Saturday:

The Girl Scouts put on Girl University at WT to give young girls information on college starting at 9:30 am

The Sisters on the Fly will have vintage trailers set up on 6th Street By Maryland House Antiques starting at 10 am.

The Science Bowl for middle schoolers will be held at WT in the Classroom Center. More than 30 area teams will compete.

The Math Counts Competition for middle schoolers kicks off at Amarillo College in the Lecture Hall building.

Texas Roadhouse in Amarillo is putting on blood drive with Coffee Memorial, Saturday, February 9th from 11 am till 4 pm

Mardi Growl will be held at the Amarillo Zoo from 1-3 pm

The Amarillo Literary Society will put on the Poe Literary Salon from 7-9 pm at the North YMCA in Amarillo.

A Vietnamese New Year celebration will be held at the Activity Center on 2000 N Spring Street from 11:30 am -5 pm
