Three Arrested For Stealing Beef Shipments

AMARILLO -- Three people from California have been arrested in connection with thefts of 17 beef shipments. Ten of which were in the Amarillo area.
According to Federal Court documents: Ruben Ashikyan, Levon Ashikyan, and Grigor Darmandijian have all been charged with conspiracy to defraud the government.
The affidavit the three would steal identification from legitimate shipping companies and show up to pick up the loads.
    
The three were arrested last week when they tried to pick up a load of beef at an Amarillo meat packing facility.
The FBI says that the shipments of beef ranged in value of $30,000 to $200,000 per load.
