AMARILLO -- Civil settlements in the Stanley Marsh 3 case will not affect the criminal charges.

The special prosecutor says the criminal case will proceed as normal.

The attorney representing ten men who sued Marsh 3 for alleged sexual abuse when they were minors says the Amarillo millionaire settled those cases last week.  But, details of the settlement were not released.

That raises the question of what this means for the criminal case.

Lubbock county D.A. Matt Powell says he will present the 11 charges against Marsh 3 to a Potter county grand jury in the next few weeks.

Marsh is charged with six counts of sexual assault of a child and five counts of sexual performance by a child.

He was arrested in November after the accusations came to light in several lawsuits filed against the millionaire.

Marsh 3 is accused of enticing teen boys with drugs, alcohol and money to perform sexually.
Police removed several pieces of evidence from Marsh's Chase tower office in October.

Marsh three is currently free on a 300-thousand dollars bond.
