AMARILLO -- Now that the main roadways are open, TXDoT crews will continue their work to clear the ice and snow.
Tuesday, they were clearing out secondary roadways and frontage roads.
But travel is still a danger.
Officials say if you don't have to drive, stay home.
"It's still pretty rough going, it was a major storm yesterday. If you don't have to travel, don't. But if you have to, just take it easy. You will get to your destination," said Paul Braun with TXDoT.
Officials say areas that haven't been plowed yet, will have deep tire tracks that will re-freeze overnight Tuesday.
